Can we talk about how instant noodles from a street cart in Chengdu beat the fancy ones
I paid 6 yuan for a bowl near the university and it had way more flavor than the 40 yuan version at the mall. Am I the only one who thinks the cheap street stuff is just better?
Walked past a cart in Bangkok last year and the lady running it had this beat up old pot she'd been using for who knows how long. That broth had more depth than anything I've had at a sit down place. There's something about a cook who's been making the same bowl for years that a fancy kitchen just can't fake.
