The 3 years I spent making wonton wrappers from scratch when the store sells them for $2
I was folding each wrapper by hand for over an hour every Sunday until my aunt saw me and laughed so hard she nearly choked on her tea. She pointed me to the freezer section of the Chinese market down the street and now I feel like an absolute fool, how long did it take you to figure out shortcuts like that?

Three years is dedication though, I only made it two months before my aunt found me rolling dough at midnight and gave me the same lecture. Did your aunt also make you feel like you'd just reinvented fire or was she nicer about it than mine?
