Swapped my lawn for native plants last spring and the difference is wild

I replaced about 300 square feet of grass with local wildflowers and shrubs in my front yard in Austin. My water bill dropped $25 a month and I've seen way more butterflies and bees than I ever did with that boring green carpet.

Honestly that water bill drop alone makes it worth it.
