Hot take: The new shop in Toledo is paying $28 an hour but their machine maintenance is a joke.
Last month I watched a brand new Mazak VTC get wrecked because their PM schedule was just a sticky note on the foreman's monitor, so has anyone else walked into a shop that looked good on paper but was a total mess in real life?

Ever see a place with a clean floor but the tool crib looks like a bomb went off? I interviewed at a spot with three new Doosans. The guy showing me around was proud of the "investment." Then I saw their only set of parallels were rusted, sitting in a puddle of coolant on a cart. The vibe was all show, no actual care for the work. Makes you wonder where that 28 an hour really goes.
