Picked Python over JavaScript for my first language and got roasted for it
Everyone kept saying start with JS because it's everywhere, but I went with Python instead. Three weeks in and I can actually read my own code without wanting to delete everything, so I'm sticking with it. Anyone else make the 'wrong' choice on purpose?

Three years ago I picked Lua for my first language because I thought it would make me better at video games. Now I can write scripts that crash Garry's Mod servers in 47 different ways, so that's a skill I guess. Python at least has a job market attached to it, unlike my garbage fire of a decision. You're good. Keep going.
