Switched from band-masks to a full face helmet on a 60-foot wreck dive yesterday

I always thought band-masks were the only way to go for clear comms, but after 3 tries with fogging and a cracked lens I borrowed a guy's Kirby Morgan and my god the difference was night and day. The air felt smoother and I could actually hear the surface without static. Has anyone else made the switch and gone back to band-masks for shallow stuff?

Band-masks are fine if you enjoy tasting salt water and playing "guess what the surface said" every five minutes. My last band-mask tried to fog up so bad I almost missed the anchor line and swam into a grouper. The Kirby Morgan made me feel like I finally got a working radio instead of a tin can on a string. Did the extra weight bother your neck on the 60 footer or was it worth the trade off?
