A client's feedback made me ditch my old cable management method
I had a client last month who runs a small real estate office. She pointed out that my zip tie approach was making it a pain for her to swap out monitors when a new agent joined. I switched to velcro straps instead. It takes me maybe 5 extra minutes per build now, but she says it's way easier to adjust cables when needed. Anyone else have a customer suggestion that actually improved your process?

Traded my zip ties for velcro straps after a similar complaint, and honestly, my ego still hasn't recovered from realizing I was the cable management equivalent of a boomer with a flip phone. I bought a 50-pack on Amazon and now I look like a professional instead of someone who thinks a snip and a prayer is a plan. Took me a few builds to not instinctively reach for the zip ties, though.

Switched to velcro about a year ago and ngl, the first time I did a cable job with it I felt like I was faking it till I made it. Took me like three builds before I stopped trying to snip the damn things off with my teeth like a feral raccoon. The worst part was when I caught myself reaching for the zip ties on a buddy's setup out of habit, and he just gave me this look like I was trying to fix a flatscreen with a sledgehammer. Honestly, the velcro life feels bougie now but my ego took a hit realizing I was the guy who thought cable management meant "make it fit and pray the side panel closes.
