Thermal paste check saved my butt at a school board meeting
Got called in during a board presentation when their projector kept shutting down. Turns out the PC in the AV cart had dried paste and was thermal throttling at 92 degrees. I repasted it in the hallway with a tube I keep in my bag, and now I always bring spare paste on site visits. Anyone else carry emergency hardware for jobs like this?
