Spent 3 hours fixing a bad foil placement that should've taken 20 minutes
Honestly, I was trying a new balayage pattern and put my foils way too close together at the root. Took me forever to adjust them without messing up the saturation. Next time I'm mapping out the sections with clips first to save my sanity. Has anyone else had a technique backfire like that?

yeah I've been there. mapping sections with clips is a game changer though. definitely saves you from the headache of reworking foils later.

Oh for sure, cutting your map means you're not wasting a bunch of time gluing together a book that's all wrong. It's like putting together IKEA furniture without checking the instructions first and ending up with a weird sideways shelf. Nothing worse than getting all your foils figured out only to realize your protagonist's arc completely clashes with the setting you built. Maps are boring but they're the boring that keeps you from having a full-on meltdown at 2 AM.
