Chain connector snapped on me yesterday. Could have been bad.

I was lifting a 3 ton AC unit downtown when the master link on my grade 80 chain let go. Lucky I had the load just barely off the ground and nobody was standing under it. Has anyone else had issues with those stamped connectors giving out early?

Bet that chain was user error not the connector.

Nah man, stamped connectors are known weak points. They're fine for lighter stuff but 3 tons is pushing it. Grade 80 chain itself is solid though.
