Stopped a 6.7 Powerstroke from eating injectors with a simple fuel pressure check
Had a 2015 F-250 in the shop that kept killing number 3 injector every 8,000 miles like clockwork. Instead of just swapping parts, I hooked up a gauge and found the low pressure fuel pump was dropping to 45 psi at idle. Replaced that $300 pump first, and the truck's been solid for over a year now. How many of you actually check rail pressure before just throwing injectors at these things?

Spot the same thing everywhere now, like my buddy who kept buying new phone chargers when his car outlet was just messed up. Feels like we're trained to replace the obvious part instead of finding the real cause. I mean, it's in car shops, tech support, even home repairs. That extra five minutes of checking saves so much time and cash, but it's never the first move for some reason. Maybe it's just me but I see it all the time.

Honestly though, sometimes you just want the quick fix. Not everyone has the time or tools to play detective with every little problem.
