Bought a $60 encrypted email service after my main account got flagged for a political newsletter

On one hand, it feels like paying a tax just to have a private conversation online. On the other, it's the only way I can reliably send updates to my group without our whole thread getting shadow-banned. Anyone else feel forced to pay for basic communication tools now?

Remember when you could just talk without buying a pass? Now it's like every basic thing needs a subscription. Need privacy? Pay up. Don't want ads listening? That's another fee. They turned normal life into a series of toll booths.

My newsletter got flagged too, guess I'm joining you and @riverg75 in the subscription poorhouse.

My buddy's newsletter got hit last month with the same filter. He switched from Mailchimp to a smaller service called ConvertKit and the deliverability shot way up. Sometimes these big platforms just have weird automated flags that catch good senders. It's worth trying a free trial on another service before giving up on the list.
