My $40 wallpaper steamer turned into a ceiling waterfall last weekend
I was stripping 30 year old wallpaper in our spare bedroom in Austin and the steamer hose popped off mid-wall, spraying boiling water straight up onto the popcorn ceiling. Next thing I know, a chunk of ceiling plaster starts dripping and then literally crumbles onto my head like wet confetti. Took me 3 hours to clean up the mess and now I have a hole the size of a dinner plate to patch. Has anyone else had a tool go rogue and create a bonus project they never signed up for?
