Used to think layer names were just busy work, something you did to make the bosses happy. Then I got put on a massive retrofit job where nothing matched between trades. Seeing a consistent system in action, where you can actually find what you need, completely flipped my view. It turns a chaotic set of lines into a real drawing you can work with. The time you save not hunting for stuff is honestly crazy.

Totally agree with you there. Nothing worse than scrolling through a hundred unnamed layers in someone else's drawing, it's like a treasure hunt you never asked for. A good naming system is one of those things you don't appreciate until you've been burned by the mess.
