Just realized I spent 3 hours chasing a vibration that was just a loose hose clamp
The whole dredge was shaking on the Ohio River job, thought it was a bearing or the pump. Took apart the suction line guard for nothing. Anyone else have a simple fix that wasted a ton of your day?

Spent a whole afternoon tracing a coolant leak once. Turned out to be the overflow bottle cap wasn't on tight. Felt like a real genius after that.

Ever notice how the simplest thing makes you feel the dumbest? I once replaced a whole starter motor, only to find the battery terminal was just a little bit loose. Three hours of my life, gone.
