Has anyone else tried a more expensive lawyer and regretted it later? I used to think all lawyers were pretty much the same, just charging different rates for the same paperwork. But then I had a bad experience with a cheap lawyer who missed a key property line issue and it almost cost me a lot of money. My next closing I went with someone who specialized in real estate and they caught everything the first guy missed. Now I totally get why people say you need to shop around. It really makes a difference when you find someone who actually knows what they're doing.
