Hot take: I was wrong about using regular grease on door hanger rollers.
Kept seeing rollers fail early in a high rise downtown, maybe six months tops. Switched to a synthetic lithium complex grease last year, and the callbacks dropped by half. What specific grease are you guys running on high traffic door systems?

What about the door's weight and alignment though?

Wait, you're right, I totally forgot about the door itself (how did I miss that?). The weight alone would make this a huge pain to open and close every day. And if the alignment is off by even a little bit, it's going to scrape the floor or just not latch properly. That's a massive detail to overlook in the original plan.

Used to run standard lithium grease on everything and thought it was fine, but then I had a building where the rollers were dying every four months without fail. The synthetic lithium complex stuff is pricier but the way it holds up under constant high traffic is night and day. That experience flipped my thinking completely, now I won't use anything else on heavy commercial doors.
