I finally got a letter from my cousin in Hong Kong after 6 months of silence.
He wrote it by hand and mailed it because he said the group chats we used to use aren't safe for him anymore. What's the most secure way you've found to keep in touch with someone in a place like that?

Actually got into using old school shortwave radio with a friend. Sounds crazy but it works. You can pick up cheap sets online and send voice messages over specific frequencies. It's not perfect but it's basically impossible to track if you keep it short and change times. Just need to agree on a frequency and schedule beforehand.
