inShoutout to the stylist in Tampa who insisted I try a razor cut on thick hair
My friend Sarah has super thick, coarse hair and was always against razors. Her stylist in Austin convinced her to try it last year, and she sent me a video of her hair actually moving in the wind for once, lol. She said it took out so much weight without thinning it out weirdly. Now she gets it done every few months and her hair has way more shape.

inI finally got a letter from my cousin in Hong Kong after 6 months of silence.
Actually got into using old school shortwave radio with a friend. Sounds crazy but it works. You can pick up cheap sets online and send voice messages over specific frequencies. It's not perfect but it's basically impossible to track if you keep it short and change times. Just need to agree on a frequency and schedule beforehand.

Guess that old timer saved you from baking a bad batch of pipe cookies.

Nah, the kind internet never left. Just gotta find the right corners. My baking group still cheers on every lopsided cake.

Totally agree with that. Guessing just leads to redoing things later. Like trying to cut a recipe in half without a scale, you always mess up the baking powder. A good level or a sharp knife feels like cheating because it works right the first time. The right tool just takes the stress out of the job.
