PSA: My trip to Japan taught me the hard way about planning
Just got back from Tokyo and my whole plan fell apart on day one. I figured I'd just wing it for my meetings and explore between them. Big mistake. Got completely lost trying to find a potential supplier's office in a back alley, missed the meeting, and wasted half a day. I didn't even have the address saved offline, my phone died, and I don't speak Japanese. It was a total fail. The trip cost me a bunch of money and a key contact. Now I see the same thing happens with my business if I don't plan properly. You can't just hope things work out, you need a real map, or in this case, a solid business plan. Learned that lesson the expensive way, lol.

What did you end up eating that day?

Ended up grabbing that chicken salad from the fridge, honestly a lifesaver. Always keep a few prepped things ready for days you just can't decide, you know? Toss in some crackers and it's a full meal. Sagehenderson, my real tip is to just pick one thing and stick with it, the extra time spent thinking is never worth it. I used to waste so much time just staring into the pantry. Now I give myself like two minutes tops to choose.

Honestly that line about "you can't just hope things work out" hits so hard. I see this everywhere, like with what lindawalker said about picking a meal fast instead of staring at the pantry. It's all just winging it versus having a basic plan. My whole week falls apart if I don't write down my errands, same as a trip or a business thing. Tbh not having a map, literally or just a list, just sets you up to waste a ton of time and feel like a fool.
