TIL a local news site in my town is using AI to write articles now
Honestly, I saw a piece about a new park and the writing was just off, like it kept repeating the same phrases. It made me think, is this worse than having no article at all? What do you guys think, should small outlets use AI to fill gaps or does it just make everything feel fake?

Ugh, that reminds me of a recipe blog I used to read. They switched to AI and every dessert was "delightfully sweet" and "perfect for any occasion." It just felt so empty, like talking to a wall. I stopped going there because it gave me the creeps... like the real person behind it just vanished. Makes you wonder if a blank page is better than a page full of nothing-words.
