Cutting glass freehand back in the 90s feels like a lost art now.

I was cleaning out the shop and found my old hand cutter from when I first started. Everything's machines these days, and I miss the feel of doing it myself. Does anyone else still use manual methods for certain jobs, or am I just old school?

Yeah, it's the sound for me... that little crackle under the wheel. Machines get it perfect, but your hands learn the pressure, your ear learns the sound. My body still knows the feel of a good score, even if my brain's a little foggy on the exact steps. There's a memory in your muscles that a computer file just doesn't have.

What triggers that muscle memory most for you? Is it always the sound, or something else?
