I finally saw what happens when a platform just ghosts its users

Was always skeptical about people claiming shadowbanning was real. Then I watched my friend's posts on a niche forum go from 50 replies to zero overnight while he could still see them.

Guess my paranoid rants about the mods just got too spicy for them. At least now I know what it feels like to be a ghost before I'm actually dead.

Honestly @wren_carr I gotta push back a bit here. Shadowbanning gets thrown around way too much when it could just be an algorithm change or a bug. Seen plenty of forums tweak their feed logic and suddenly people's posts tank without any actual malice involved. Platforms are messy and break all the time. Your friend's situation sucks but 50 replies to zero overnight sounds more like a broken sort or a test gone wrong than a targeted thing. Mods usually dont have time to handpick who to ghost like that, especially on a niche forum. Not saying it never happens, just that theres a lot of confusion between a legit shadowban and normal internet chaos. Give it a week or two before assuming theyre out to get you.
