I finally got my account back after 6 months of appeals over a single medical term
Reddit banned me for using the word "retard" in a comment about outdated disability parking laws, and I spent half a year sending appeals before someone actually reviewed my context. Has anyone else had a ban reversed by going through the same automated appeal system over and over?

Buddy of mine had the same thing happen over a word he used in a gaming subreddit. He just copied and pasted the same appeal every few weeks for like four months straight and eventually they let him back in.

Oh man, I used to think people were just being dramatic when they complained about Reddit bans. But then I saw a friend go through something similar over a totally innocent comment, and it took him months of copy-pasting the same appeal before they finally let him back in. It really opened my eyes to how broken the whole system is, and now I definitely get why people get so frustrated.
