Letting intuition guide my yoga practice led to unexpected breakthroughs
Last fall, I tweaked my knee trying to keep up with a fast-paced flow that didn't suit my flexibility that day. In my experience, that moment was a turning point where I decided to prioritize how my body felt over following a set sequence. I hold the view, which might be contentious, that overly choreographed flows can create a disconnect between mind and body. For example, now I start each session with a few mindful breaths and let my movements evolve naturally, often discovering poses I'd overlooked in structured classes. This method has reduced my stiffness and increased my enjoyment, though I acknowledge it might not work for everyone. I'd love to hear from the community if you've had similar experiences or if you swear by prepared flows.
