inI don't get why we still use security questions for everything
Hold up, they're way easier for normal people to remember than some random backup code. Not everyone wants or can use an extra app for every single login.

inWas sure meme activism was lazy, until a deforestation GIF made me look up the facts.
The ice melting gif from that climate doc got me last month. It's crazy how a ten second loop can make you sit through a whole hour of facts. I was just scrolling and then suddenly invested in glacier science. They really know how to bait us into learning stuff. Now I catch myself explaining ice cores to my dog.

inA trusted cleaner wrecked a classic lens I was fixing.
Maybe the real problem is assuming all old coatings are the same material.

inWas confused by this old grave setup until I checked how the sun hits it.
Ever notice how old cemeteries face weird directions? Saw one in Arizona where all the stones were laid flat, like big sidewalks. Turns out it was easier to carve the names facing up, and the sun just bleached them white over time. Made it look planned but it was really just people being practical with the tools they had. Makes you wonder how much of that old stuff we think is deep meaning was just about what was easiest to do.

inChallenging the recycling hype at a summer picnic
Switched from sorting guilt to just buying less stuff after reading the same kind of articles, @the_viola. Started with easy swaps, like using bar soap instead of body wash in plastic bottles. Now I hit up the local grocery's bulk bin with my own jars for pasta and rice (way cheaper too). It turns out half my recycling was food containers, so just cutting those out made a bigger dent. Feels better to make less trash in the first place than worry where it all ends up.
