inUnpopular opinion: I used to chase realistic VR, but a silly game changed my view
Yeah, that totally tracks with a lot of tech stuff. Sometimes the simple, focused experience is just better than the one that tries to do everything perfectly. I've found the same with a bunch of apps and games lately.

inI finally posted my real thoughts on that bottle from my buddy's vineyard
Been in that spot before with a buddy's new business. If you lie and say you like it, you're setting them up to fail. Better they hear it from a friend who wants them to succeed than from ten customers who just won't come back. It was pretty rough stuff, tasted like grape juice mixed with vinegar. He asked for real feedback, so I gave it.

inBrushing off writing prompts cost me a year. Don't do it.
Wait, you really changed your whole process from just one prompt? That's wild. I get why @mila_fox41 is asking, cause it sounds like a magic trick. Makes you wonder what else we're brushing off.

inMy neighborhood found out I freelance and now everyone wants discounts on my services. How do you manage expectations without causing drama?
Exactly, and that first courtesy discount is such a critical tipping point. What happened for you after offering that initial discounted rate? Did you find most people respected the new, full-price boundary on the second request, or did you still get pushback and have to cut some folks off entirely? I'm curious about the transition from that "awkward first time" into a sustainable, understood arrangement with your immediate community.
