inSmall win: after ages of waiting, my drywall seams came out perfect
Thin mud and careful sanding, huh? My one attempt at drywall made it look like a topo map of the Alps. I had lumps where there should have been lines, and I sanded so much I created a new dust cloud in my living room. Let's just say I'm not allowed near the joint compound anymore.

inFound a weird fix for orange peel texture with a potato
Wondering if the spud juice creates some weird chemical thing with the paint.

inSo I tried to make a custom headboard and it's... leaning
Ever have that happen to you? It's so frustrating when they bend and become useless... just adds more work to deal with.

inHad a book club debate with my dentist, now every cleaning comes with a lecture.
South Carolina's dental board actually has a policy about this, believe it or not. It says dentists should avoid non treatment related lectures during appointments because it puts the patient in a captive audience. Your dentist mixing a personal debate with a professional service kinda crosses a line. It makes it hard for you to speak up or leave, which isn't fair. You're there for a cleaning, not a seminar. Maybe they just don't realize how awkward and one sided it feels from your side of the chair.

inCultivating a side hustle through handwritten letters and word-of-mouth feels like a distant, slower world now.
Whoa, I totally get this. I used to roll my eyes at the whole handwritten note thing, like just send an email already. But then I tried slowing way down on my own replies, really thinking about what the other person said instead of firing off a quick answer. That slowness is the whole point, not the paper. You can totally do it with a typed message if you put in the same care. It just means not treating people like tickets to close.
