Hit 500 AI generated images last week and not one had hands right
I fed an AI tool 50 prompts of people doing everyday things and every single hand came out looking like a melted crayon, has anyone else noticed this is still a huge problem?

Honestly I think people are just looking for problems at this point. I did a batch of 200 prompts last week with people holding coffee mugs and shaking hands and maybe 3 or 4 had a weird thumb situation but the rest were totally fine. The tech has gotten way better since last year, you just have to prompt it right like adding "clear detailed fingers" or "natural hand pose" to your requests. Ngl half the time when someone posts those nightmare hand examples they're using some free crappy tool from 2022 not the newer models. Tbh the melted crayon thing feels like an overblown meme at this point.

yeah I'm not gonna lie I used to be one of those people who was like "oh the hand thing is just people being dramatic" and then I tried generating some stuff for a dumb project I was working on and oh man it was bad. like I had one prompt where someone was holding a coffee cup and the fingers literally just merged into the mug like they were melting into it. but after messing around with it more I kinda see what the other person is saying about prompting it right. adding stuff like "separate fingers" or "natural pose" actually helped a ton for me. still not perfect but way better than I thought it would be.
