Froze my butt off for 3 hours trying to fix a snowmachine on the Denali Highway last week

I was 30 miles from the nearest town and my Ski-Doo just quit on me. Turned out to be a fuel line that had cracked from the cold, but I spent THREE HOURS troubleshooting the carburetor first because I was sure that was the issue. Had to wait for a buddy to come out with a spare line since I didn't pack one. Anyone else ever overcomplicate a simple fix because you assumed it was something harder?

Gotta say, Denali Highway in winter is no joke, that fuel line probably froze because of moisture in the gas.

Man, that's the worst. Did you at least have a good emergency kit with extra fuel line and clamps, or did you just assume you'd never need it out there?
