Just realized how many repair jobs now start with a phone video.
Clients send clips of the issue before I even show up. It saves time but makes me miss hands on checks.

Yeah, I read something about this becoming standard in a lot of trades now. Saves a trip but you lose that initial feel for the problem, right?

Totally agree about losing the feel. Video calls skip the subtle details you pick up in person. For some jobs, that first visit is still key.

Absolutely, the initial site visit is huge for context. My buddy had a plumber try to diagnose a weird leak over video, and they missed a whole section of corroded pipe just outside the frame. Ended up needing a second, bigger fix later.
