Found a bent derailleur hanger on a rental bike in Denver

I was in Denver last weekend helping a buddy fix up some rental cruisers from his shop. One bike had a hanger that was visibly bent maybe 3 degrees to the inside. Straightened it with a hanger alignment tool in under 5 minutes and the shifting went from crunchy to perfect. Anyone else notice how many rental fleets just ignore this simple fix?

Good on you for taking the time to fix it right.

Used to think cutting corners saved time, honestly. Spent years just slapping quick fixes on stuff at home, then wondering why it broke again a month later. Finally took a weekend to properly redo a paver patio after watching a few videos, and it's been solid for three years now. Nothing beats that feeling of doing it right the first time, even if it costs you a Saturday.
