Showerthought: I spent 2 years lubing my chain wrong
Had a buddy look at my drivetrain last week and he pointed out I was putting lube on the side plates instead of the rollers. All that time I thought it was working but my chain was just covered in gunk. Has anyone else had a basic thing click way later than it should have?

Classic mistake, we've all been there at some point. Thought I was being thorough, turns out I was just wasting 18 months of my life and a few tubes of lube. At least the inside is still dry, so that's something, right?
