My $300 dry electrode cap kept losing signal on my left side, figured out it was my ceiling fan
Last Tuesday I was running a 20 minute calibration session in my apartment in Phoenix and the left side of my cap kept dropping out every 90 seconds like clockwork. Turns out my ceiling fan on medium speed was messing with the electrode contact somehow, maybe static or just the vibration, and I only caught it because I finally looked up after the 4th dropout. Has anyone else had random stuff in their room cause signal loss like that, and does a grounding mat actually fix it or is that just marketing?
