Showerthought: my brain used to auto-fill grocery lists but now I offload everything to a notes app

I realized this last week while standing in the produce section at Kroger. For years I would just walk through the store and my brain would trigger items based on what I saw, like oh there's the onions I need. Now I have to pull out my phone every 30 seconds to check my list. It hit me that I basically outsourced my working memory to an app and now my natural recall is garbage. Has anyone else noticed their internal 'dietary' interface getting worse since they started using reminders?

Right? I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast without checking my phone.

It's kind of scary how fast that happens, isn't it?
