Unpopular opinion: my BCI trial week in Phoenix was actually a huge letdown

I mean, the signal drift after just 3 hours made the cursor control basically unusable, which nobody in the promo videos mentioned. Has anyone else had a demo that fell way short of the hype?

Used to be a believer but that drift issue sounds brutal.

Saw a tech blog deep dive on that exact drift problem. They said the lab demos use perfect conditions that real life messes up fast, like sweat or moving your head a little. Makes sense why your trial went sideways after a few hours. Tyler_hunt72 is right, it's a brutal flaw they don't talk about. Felt like reading about my own bad VR setup, all hype until the hardware can't keep up.

That "all hype until the hardware can't keep up" part hits on a bigger pattern I've been noticing everywhere. Seems like everything from phones to car features gets announced with this perfect vision, but the minute you actually use it in your messy life it just falls apart. Kind of makes you wonder if all this flashy stuff is just designed to look good in ads rather than work when you're actually sweating or moving around.
