I finally switched to a mud board on a job site in Richmond

Was working a tight fireplace job last month in Richmond and my bucket kept sliding around. A older mason I was subbing for handed me his mud board setup and I got through the rest of the day without spilling a drop. Has anyone else found that a mud board saves time on small corners or is it just me?

Second that. Saved my back on a tricky chimney cap last spring.

Yeah I gotta ask @evan_dixon67 about that chimney cap specifically. Was it one of those big heavy copper ones or a standard galvanized? I've seen guys try to muscle those copper caps up a ladder and it never ends well. The way those things wobble on the roof line if you don't have a good setup is just asking for trouble. I rigged a simple pulley system for mine last summer and it made all the difference in the world. What did you end up using to get yours up there.
