Had to decide between staying in my hometown in Hunan or moving to Shenzhen for a job offer. Took the Shenzhen gig. Six months in and I'm just drained by the rent and the pace.

See, I had the opposite thing. Grew up in a small place, felt stuck. The rent here is a killer, no argument, but the chance to meet different people and try new things is worth the squeeze for me. It's a trade off, but I'd rather be a bit broke here than comfortable and bored back home. The pace is part of the deal.
