Actually, that's a pretty common thing in a lot of Japan, not just Osaka.

Charles is out here doing the linguistic equivalent of "well, actually" on a map of Japan. Next he'll tell us the sun rises in the east, not just over his house.

Gotta be honest, I don't think anyone's losing sleep over which side of Japan the sun comes up on. Feels like a lot of energy for something that doesn't really matter.
