Watching the harbor dredge in Savannah changed my view on pump maintenance

I always thought waiting for a full failure before a pump rebuild was fine, but seeing that machine run smooth for a full 12-hour shift without a hiccup changed my mind. The operator said they do a full inspection every 250 hours, no matter what. Anyone else stick to a strict hour-based schedule, or just go by feel?

Yeah, that'll make you rethink your whole system.

Been there, done that, got the scorch marks on my desk to prove it. Nothing like the smell of fried electronics to humble your entire build plan. My wallet still hasn't forgiven me.

Remember when my buddy tried to build his own PC? He spent weeks picking parts, then the whole thing just... smoked.
