I used to think the Westmount area was overpriced until I saw a friend's place
I was at a barbecue at my buddy's house near 124th Street last weekend. He bought a bungalow there for $425,000 two years ago and just finished the basement himself. Walking around, I saw how close it is to the ravine trails and how quiet the street felt, even though it's central. Now I get why people pay more for that mix of location and character. What other central neighborhoods have you found that are worth a second look?

Honestly, I still find Westmount pretty steep for what you get. My cousin lives in Inglewood and got a similar vibe with way less hassle, like her street is super quiet but she's still a five minute walk from Whyte. The prices there aren't exactly cheap now either, but they felt more reasonable to me.

Found a fixer-upper off Whyte, saved a ton.
