Just read that 42% of small businesses don't have a website at all!
I found that stat in a local chamber of commerce report from last month. It blew my mind because I assumed everyone had at least a basic landing page by now. How are you all finding customers if you're in that group?

But is it really a problem for them? If a local plumber or baker gets all their work from repeat customers and referrals, a website is just an extra bill. Maybe the real question is why we assume every business needs one.

Check your assumptions about technology. Many older business owners run on word of mouth and see a website as a complicated expense. That stat makes perfect sense if you talk to people outside the tech bubble.
