inJust finished my 500th weld on the new pressure vessel at the plant
That's a solid number right there. Hit 300 certified welds on a big pipe run last year and had the same moment. You don't notice it day to day until you see the total. All that time in the hood adds up to something real you can point at. Good feeling.

inA broken bone guard showed me why I switched to a new steel mesh apron
Well, "brutal wake-up call" is putting it mildly. A piece of beef rib turning into a shank aimed at your gut is not the kind of lunch special anyone orders. I guess that old apron was more like a suggestion of safety than the real deal. Good on you for getting actual armor, because playing human pincushion is a terrible job perk. Some of that old gear feels like it was made more for looks than for stopping a surprise bone attack.

inPSA: A customer in Phoenix brought in a car with a quarter panel repair that looked perfect until we saw the weld-through primer was applied after the panel was fitted.
Oh man, heat gun on a sticker sounds like a recipe for disaster. Next time just pour some syrup on it, really seal the deal.

inVent: The way Berkeley handled Ann Coulter versus how they handle other speakers shows a clear double standard
The Milo Yiannopoulos event at Berkeley in 2017 had a police bill of over $600,000 for security after actual fires were set. So they proved they could handle a major threat. Canceling Coulter a few months later for vague safety reasons just looks like they picked a different line in the sand when they didn't like the speaker.
