inJust hit 100 shows finished on my watchlist and it feels strange
Read an article about how some shows now have super long intros. Makes skipping them a real habit.

inThought I could knock out a flange weld in an hour, it took the whole shift
Ha, "measure three times" is the worst! It sounds good but it's so slow. My real quick check is just doing the opposite thing first. Like, if I'm checking if a shelf is level, I'll purposely tilt it way off and then bring it back. That one big wrong move makes the right spot way easier to find. It saves a ton of tiny adjustments. What do you actually do when you're in a hurry?

inWarning about that 'Plot Twist Generator' app I bought last month
My own plot twist was buying that same app and expecting anything new. @the_jason has the right idea with the weird news stories. I started doing that and it's way better. Those apps just recycle the same five ideas from old TV shows. You're better off writing down your own weird thoughts or looking at strange facts. It takes a bit more work but you actually get something you can use.

inVent: The dive school in Corpus Christi is still teaching that old 'equalize every 2 feet' rule
Right? Like @emmam98 said it's just ear clearing, but that school is basically teaching people to be human submarines with a broken ballast system. I saw a new guy on a job last month who actually tried to stop every two feet during a descent. The current swept him fifty yards past the work site before he even hit bottom. At that point you're not a diver, you're just expensive driftwood with a tank. Schools need to stop making this so complicated.

inAppreciation post: A library in Portland had a whole display explaining why certain memes get flagged
That side-by-side just shows how random the rules are. It proves the guidelines are too vague and get applied differently.
