inVisiting my sister's new place in Austin made me drop my 'open floor plan or bust' stance
My buddy's place has something like that, and it really does make the garden feel like its own room. BlakeHarris is right about it feeling special.

inJust read that some AI can now learn from just a few examples, like a kid does
You know what's funny about that? I was trying to teach my nephew how to skip a rock last weekend and it took him like twenty tries to get it right. So maybe the AI is already smarter than a six year old. But seriously, it does make you wonder if they're just getting better at finding patterns we already made, or if it's real learning. That Toronto paper sounds like a big jump from the old way of doing things.

inGot a 7-day ban from a car forum for correcting a spec sheet
That's messed up, especially when it's a safety issue. Some forum mods get weirdly defensive about being corrected. I got a temp ban once for pointing out a wiring diagram was backwards, they said I was "disrupting the community.

inWarning: I used to think you needed a perfect plan before launching anything
Launching half-baked stuff can ruin your reputation from day one. Remember that game studio that pushed out a broken early access title? They never recovered from those first terrible reviews. A buggy spreadsheet tool could corrupt someone's data, and then you've lost trust forever. Sometimes taking time to polish is what separates a real product from a joke.

inVent: My coding bootcamp in Austin pushed Python hard, but I think that's a mistake for total beginners.
Honestly you're totally right about Python setup being a nightmare for new people. Tbh I tried helping my cousin last month and we lost a whole weekend just fighting with PATH errors and broken pip installs. Ngl it's crazy we tell beginners to start with something that needs so much work before you even write "hello world". JavaScript in the browser is way better because you just hit F12 and start typing, no install mess at all.
