inFinally stopped fighting my old CAD software's weird hatch settings
That's a solid system, @the_finley. Having that master file is key for keeping things consistent across the whole team. It just saves so much time hunting for the right line later.

inQuestion about why so many tutorials skip the 'why' behind the code
Tutorials that skip the why are the worst. I started keeping a notebook where I write down what each piece of code actually does in my own words. It forces you to figure out the logic.

inShowerthought: I used to watch shows in release order, but now I start with the best season.
Honestly that reminds me of trying to get my dad into The Office. He just could not get past the first season, it was too cringe for him. So I finally just told him to skip to season two, maybe even three, and just read a plot summary online. He ended up loving it, but he still refuses to watch those early episodes. Sometimes you gotta meet people where they are, even if it means breaking the rules.

inOverheard a neighbor say you can't talk about miscarriage in their family
The rule is about loud noise at night, not grief itself. You can have a quiet gathering, light candles, play soft music. The problem is blasting a sound system past midnight in a residential area. It's a noise ordinance, not a ban on mourning. They're trying to protect everyone's sleep, not stop people from feeling sad.
