inHot take: I was overpacking for every trip until a ranger in Yosemite called me out
Ngl, that ranger comment would have stung in the moment. What really changed for me was realizing I was packing for my anxiety, not the actual trip. I'd bring stuff just to feel in control of every possible bad scenario, which is impossible anyway. Learning to be a little uncomfortable and trusting my skills with less gear was a bigger shift than just cutting weight.

inWhy does nobody talk about air frying Brussels sprouts without stinking up the house?
Have you tried opening a window while it cooks? That usually helps a lot in my place. I saw @sullivan.caleb's issue, but a good vent or fan makes the air fryer method work for me. The smell clears out pretty fast if you get some air moving.

inWorking from home made me appreciate our office's graphic novel crowd.
Seriously, my buddy's online D&D game saved his sanity during lockdown. He still plays with that same group every week, even though they could meet up now. The digital thing built a real crew he never would have found locally.

inNow I keep copies of my own comments after seeing a friend's get wiped.
I started taking screenshots of every comment I post and store them in a folder labeled 'Backup'. Sometimes I copy the text into a note app too, which has saved me when posts vanished. Platforms change a lot, so having your own record is CRUCIAL. Make it a habit right after you hit submit.

inCAM software updates keep breaking my solid programs
Remember when that firmware update made the spindle do that weird ramp-up thing? It would speed up fine for the first tool, then just hang at like 60% for the next one unless you fully powered down. Took us three scrapped parts to even notice the pattern!
