Why nobody talks about the lag in consumer BCIs
I tried a Muse headband last year for meditation, but the 2 second delay between thinking and seeing feedback drove me nuts. Has anyone else noticed this messes with focus more than it helps?

My brain's delayed enough without tech rubbing it in my face.

Is it possible our brains have always been this "delayed" but we never noticed because we didnt have tech to measure it against? Slower reaction times might actually just be us thinking deeper before responding, not getting dumber. Maybe the real problem is that tech exposes stuff we used to hide behind quiet pauses and polite smiles.
