PSA: My attempt to save money on beans cost me an extra $3.50 a day
I bought a 5-pound bag of cheap coffee beans from a discount store for $8. Lasted about 2 weeks but the taste was SO bad I couldn't drink it black. Ended up buying coffee out every day to avoid it, spending $3.50 a pop. Dumb me thought I was winning but I really burned myself on that one. Has anyone else had a bargain grocery item backfire like this?

Call me crazy but I don't see how this is that big of a deal. You bought some bad beans, it happens. Just dump them in the trash and move on. The way you tell it you were throwing away $3.50 a day on top of the $8 you already spent, that's your own fault for not just drinking the bad coffee or tossing it right away. Plenty of people buy stuff at the store that ends up being a dud, it's not some major life lesson. You could have just bought a different bag the next week and been fine.

Ngl you're missing the point here, it's not about the $8 or the coffee, it's about standing up for yourself when someone sells you garbage and pretending it's fine. Just tossing it reinforces that it's okay to rip people off.
