inJust realized I was totally wrong about ditching paper wiring diagrams.
That thread last week missed the key point, @jamiebailey.

inTIL how much time we lose waiting for email answers
Actually, my experience has been pretty hit or miss (but mostly hit). My local hardware store replies to emails in like two hours, and I've had good luck with a few online clothing brands too. Maybe it's because I try to be super clear in my first message (like including order numbers and photos right away).

inCleared up microphone static for my gadget test videos
I had the same issue with my Blue Yeti mic. The generic Windows driver made it sound tinny and cut out sometimes. Downloading the latest driver from Blue's website fixed all the audio problems right away. What mic are you using that had driver troubles?

inAfter a dozen calls, I figured out most dryer heating problems start with the thermal fuse
When my dryer quit heating last month, I followed the same logic. In my experience, the thermal fuse is the most common culprit. I used a multimeter to test it, and sure enough, it was blown. A new fuse cost me under ten dollars at the local hardware store. Swapping it out fixed the issue completely. Your mileage may vary, but starting there saved me a ton of time.
